You can't talk about New York without mentioning the skyscrapers. Until now, that's exactly what I've done on this blog. It's time to make amends.
My wife and I started walking north from Madison Square Park pretending we were tourists. You know, New Yorkers don't automatically mug anyone looking up with a camera -- quite a relief. The park is surrounded by beautiful buildings from the guilded age, including the Con Ed, NY Life, and Flatiron buildings. I like this shot of Con Ed but my photos of the other buildings just didn't do them justice so I left them out. I'll try to supplement the gallery with some more photos soon.
Looking north from the park I took this nice shot of the Empire State through the trees. Enough has been said about this building that I probably can't add much value. It's just so fucking beautiful!

Walking uptown on 5th avenue through what I think was once called "Tin Pan Alley" I took a number of really nice shots of the ESB, including these two gorgeous ones.
Last on this short trip through midtown was Rockefeller Center. This building just screams "power." It would be more impressive if they had armed guards to keep the tourists away instead of letting them wander about looking for Al Roker.
A final shot of the Rock, looking a little phallic, but hey, I did called this gallery "Skyscraper Porn" for a reason.
