Umm, What's Wrong With CraigsList?

So I was wasting some time on this dreary Saturday afternoon clicking around random categories on CraigsList when I saw this obvious spam post for NewYorkListing.com. This site has five to ten entries per category of jobs, computers and other crap, as compared to the millions on Craigslist. What's the point of this exactly and why are they promoting themselves on Craigslist, which clearly shines in comparison?
