DUMBO and the Navy Yard

Mike from Satan's Laundromat arranged a fascinating tour of the Brooklyn underbelly, starting at DUMBO, walking through Vinegar Hill, and then the streets surrounding the Navy Yard. Photos were taken, and taken, and taken, and taken, and taken and fun was had by all.

My photos are posted below. As you'll see, I ended up taking as many photos of other people taking photos as of anything else.

can anyone tell me any details about the GIANT white mansion in Vinegar Hill overlooking the southern part of the Navy Yard? I jog past it all the time and can never find any info on it. I saw a few shots of it in this collection. Is it a private residence? Thanks!
